Designing habitats and community projects in Chile and Costa Rica that support intentional living, collective care, and long-term impact — projects you can support or join.
We develop community and public space projects that improve our habitat, through place-making initiatives, meaningful architecture, and guidance for those seeking a more intentional way of living.
From conceptual design to vision development, we create spaces with purpose, emotion, and connection.

Architectural guidance for intentional living focused in Costa Rica and Chilean Patagonia. Expert site review and clear direction for choosing a property.
Through community-driven projects that respond to real places and ways of living.
Change Your Habitat initiates and leads community-driven projects that improve public spaces and shared environments across Costa Rica and Chilean Patagonia. These projects focus on wellbeing, identity, safety, and access to nature—because how we care for shared spaces reflects how we choose to live together.
This is the heart of the platform.
Projects range from small-scale improvements—paths, lighting, and signage—to broader spatial strategies that strengthen identity and landscape. Every action is site-specific, intentional, and guided by long-term use rather than short-term visibility.

Transparency, follow-up, and shared responsibility guide how these projects move forward and remain accountable over time.
Alongside community projects, we offer architecture and property guidance as part of a balanced, long-term approach.
I create homes and spaces that feel grounded and alive—connected to nature, climate, and the way you truly live. If you are looking for a slow, thoughtful, and honest design process, this is where we begin.
For those navigating complex projects or managing them remotely, we offer comprehensive technical support: site reviews, progress inspections, and clear reports. We ensure your project remains aligned with its original vision.
I provide independent support throughout the buying or selling process: analysis, due diligence, site visits, and honest feedback. The focus is always on long-term value, real potential, and coherence with the territory.
Alongside guidance, I curate a small and selective collection of properties chosen for their character, fair pricing, and development potential. Many include pre-designed concepts or early ideas that respect the land and invite a more intentional way of inhabiting it.
Created between Chilean Patagonia and Costa Rica, guided by a search for a slower rhythm of life and a deeper connection with place. This journey has gradually shaped a professional direction rooted in territory, landscape, and responsibility.
I am Yasna Vargas, a chilean architect working across these two geographies. My approach understands architecture as more than construction—it is a way of shaping how we relate to land, climate, and community. Designing between southern Chile and tropical environments has strengthened a commitment to thoughtful, conscious intervention.

The project works across different scales, from residential architecture to community spaces, with the idea that design can actively contribute to creating healthier, more conscious habitats.
Change Your Habitat is part of Sur Conservation, a platform currently in development that connects conservation, territory, and design. Sur Conservation is an evolving initiative, growing step by step through different projects and collaborations.
This space is open for different kinds of conversations. Some messages lead to projects. Others stay as ideas, questions, or shared perspectives. All of them are part of the same intention: shaping better places and more meaningful ways of living. Write me and let’s see how your path and this place might connect.
More than the work that sustains us, our purpose is to change habitats and transform lives.
That’s why we create community-driven projects that improve access, safety, and wellbeing—so nature, people, and place can thrive together.
